Terral is very thankful for our dedicated employees. We love celebrating their milestones with our company. We’d like to recognize both Adam Johnson and Jacob Dauzat who are both celebrating 1 year with us this month.

Today is Robin Hopkins Birthday (4.21.15). Robin has been with Terral for 13 ½ years! She is over payables for our company and we are so grateful for her hard work and dedication. Robin has 3 children and 2 grandchildren. We hope you have a wonderful birthday Robin!

Happy Birthday, Jimmy Gunter!

Today, 4/20/15, Jimmy turns 54. Last year, Jimmy won our Presidents Award, he almost single handedly sold record volumes of both AgLime and Limestone Rock through the Terral RiverService locations.

Marine News

Recently, we began construction on our newest towboat with New South Marine in Greenville, MS. A 2,000 horsepower boat with a retractable wheelhouse, it will be read for operation in March 2016

Natchitoches Warehouse: Now Storing Mississippi Sand

Terral has started storing sand in its warehouse in Natchitoches for Mississippi Sand, LLC out of St. Louis. Our load-out is capable of 200 tph (tons per hour). we are also installing new 70′ Fairbanks truck scales in close proximity to the warehouse. We will operate the warehouse on a 24-7-364 (No Christmas work) schedule.

New Barges Being Built

Currently Terral is in the process of building 6 covered hopper barges and 18 open hopper barges. The barges are being built in Trinity Ship Yard, Port Allen, Louisiana. Trinity has the capacity to finish 3 barges a week. They will be ready for service the first part of April.

River Levels Returning To Normal

A steady ebb and flow – ah, life on the river. The water levels rise and fall and much of the captains job revolves around the obstacles that come along with it. For the last month, their eyes have been drawn to high water levels and the delays this causes along the way.

Congratulations to Steven and Kimberly Adams on the birth of their first child, Scott Ryder Adams, who was born on March 6. Scott entered the world at six pounds, 12 ounces. Terral River Service Renovates Warehouse, Purchases Crane

Terral River Service has purchased a new 100-ton cable crane and leased and renovated a 62,000 sq. ft. warehouse at its Port of Natchitoches facility on the Red River. The warehouse will be used to store sand, which will be handled using a Link-Belt 308 cable crane.

High Water Delaying Deliveries Along Lower Mississippi

High water due to rain and melting snow is delaying barge deliveries and impacting bulk material handling along the rivers served by Terral River Service.
