River Barge Fleeting

Terral River Service offers a full range of services on the waters of the Mississippi River System.

We load and unload cargo—both on dock and on bank. We provide barge services, including mid-stream switching, dock switching, fully insured fleeting, cleaning and above-water repair. Along with our six terminal dock locations, our custom barge operations and three harbors, Terral manages ever-growing fleets of push boats and river barges, shipping freight on the inland waterways of Louisiana and beyond.

Terral River Service operates three fleeting and harbor services on the Lower Mississippi River.

We provide mid-stream switching, dock switching, fully insured fleeting, river barge cleaning, and above-water barge repair.

Lake Providence Fleet

Our Lake Providence push boat fleet at Lake Providence Port (Mile 484 LMR) is a valuable asset to the industries of East Carroll Parish and its surrounding areas by providing an economical transportation method, with a fleet capacity of 100.

Tallulah Fleet

Our Tallulah push boat fleet at Madison Parish Port (Mile 456 LMR) is a valuable asset to the industries of Madison Parish and its surrounding areas by providing an economical transportation method, with a fleet capacity of 70.

Old River Fleet

Our Old River push boat fleet, the lynchpin of our fleet operations, at Pointe Coupee Parish Port (Mile 304 LMR) is the gateway to the Red, Ouachita, and Atchafalaya Rivers from the Mississippi River, with a fleet capacity of 200.

Custom Barge Operations

Terral River Service offers custom bulk material unloading across virtually any riverbank on the river system.

Our floating barges, equipped with excavators and hydraulic clam buckets or cable cranes, are capable of specialized unloading or lifting directly onto trucks. Our barges can load trucks quickly; each unload rig is capable of unloading up to six barges of product in a day. We maintain custom rigs throughout the region, available on any waterway in Louisiana and throughout the Gulf Coast region, which includes Texas, Mississippi, and Alabama.
