Terral RiverService is proud to recognize our longest-tenured employee, Jimmy Gunter. Jimmy started working for Terral Barge Line in 1985 before merging into Terral RiverService in 1992. At that time, Terral had fifteen employees, one aggregate yard, and two vessels. He began his career as an operator working at the Lake Providence yard but then moved into the administrative side of the company in 1990, where he became an operations manager. In 2007, Jimmy became the Senior Aggerate Retail Manager, where he manages five aggregate yards. These include Lake Providence, Tallulah, Vidalia, Lettsworth, and Columbia. In his 39 years, he has been a part of and contributed to Terrals’ growth and success. Terral is proud to have someone with his values, leadership, and loyalty as part of our family. His dedication to this company has been noticed and appreciated.
In Jimmy’s words, “I am grateful to have been with this company for as long as I have. I have enjoyed the time dedicated to this company and hopefully will retire within the next three years. I have seen this company grow over the years and am proud to have been part of it. I want to thank our CEO, Tom Gattle, for everything he has done for me. He took me under his wing and showed me how business works and gave me valuable lessons throughout my years here. Terral has been my home and has treated me like family. I am proud of being a part of this company and what it has accomplished!”.
