Terral is excited to welcome our new In-House Legal Counsel, Ernesto Silva Cruz, to the team! Ernesto was born in San Germán, Puerto Rico, and raised along the island’s southwest coast, where his lifelong connection to the sea first began. After earning his law degree and passing the bar, he started his career as a Public Criminal Defender, representing clients across multiple courts.

Driven by a passion for maritime law, Ernesto later pursued advanced studies at Tulane Law School, where he earned his LL.M. in Admiralty and built a strong foundation in General Maritime Law. Earlier this year, he joined Terral RiverService as In-House Legal Counsel, eager to apply his legal expertise to the inland waterway industry that fuels our nation’s economy.
