Expanding from our Old River Fleet to the West Canal via the Atchafalaya River

Terral RiverService continues to expand our operations from our Old River Fleet to points along the West Canal via the Atchafalaya River.

We service many customers through the Atchafalaya, moving aggregate to Lake Charles, LA and frac sand to Corpus Christi, TX. It has been a priority to develop our capabilities along this route, as it provides cost-effective movement for all commodities going west on the ICW. Our shipments bypass New Orleans traffic, providing faster service and better prices.

Terral is proud to welcome Tony Reames to our team as Port Captain. He will be working out of our Lettsworth office. Tony has been a part of the river industry since 1974. Starting at the age of 18, he was a pilot for 38 years before moving into an office position in June 2014.

Terral is also proud to welcome Allen Hartshorn to our Marine Division as Assistant Safety Manager. Allen has worked in health & safety for over 25 years.  His unique training methods and vast knowledge of maritime regulations make him a great fit as we continue to grow our company.

The 10th Annual Terral RiverService Golf Tournament has been set for Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at the Vicksburg Country Club.  We look forward to this event each year as it provides us quality time with our customers and vendors in a relaxed atmosphere.

In early 2014, we completed construction of a 195×35 crane barge equipped with a new Superior conveyor. We are now building an identical barge. It operates very efficiently, and fits in a regular size tow.
