We are excited to welcome James Gauthreaux as our new Director of Shipyard Operations at Vicksburg Shipyard. James grew up around his family’s maritime business, gaining early experience with tow boats, tank barges, and shipyard work. A proud Marine Corps veteran, he brings strong values of discipline, commitment, and integrity.

He began his career at Plaquemine Point Shipyard, working his way up to Assistant Manager by improving operations, communication, and revenue. James later joined Cooper Consolidated, where he managed Shipyard and Fleeting divisions before becoming Director of Maintenance for Stevedoring Operations. His leadership helped modernize equipment, streamline repairs, and earned the company AEU Safety Awards in 2019 and 2021.

James’ passion for improvement and operational excellence makes him a perfect fit for our team, and we look forward to the expertise he brings to our growing organization. Please join us in Welcoming James to the Team!
